Literally translated retreat means retreat, in a broader sense it is a time out. Which offers the possibility to devote oneself to one’s own body, to one’s own BEING here on earth in peace, far away from everyday life. I “discovered” a wonderful place on Crete for this purpose, which also helped me with its wonderful energy to come to rest far away from Berlin and to find myself.

Dytikos (Lentas) in the south of Crete was in the early 70’s one of the famous hippie communities where the unconventional BEING lived on the beach with Sex, Drugs and Rock’n Roll. The residents there have kept this free way of being alive, preserving a place where slowness and joie de vivre come together. No matter if bikini or nudist, no matter if staying overnight in a tent on the beach or in a hotel/apartment… everyone like he/she likes it.

The retreat offers you the opportunity to spend time with yourself away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. To come to you, to get in touch with you, your body and your heart. To feel the extent to which you can pay more attention to yourself and take your needs into account in your professional and private life.

The body and movement work based on the Spiraldynamik® concept, which takes place in the morning and afternoon (4 hours per day in total), will support you in this. Breathing, moving, practising asanas… Bringing clarity to movement and body alignment… achieving slowness and presence.

Both retreats focus primarily on yoga: asana practice and the development of movement and alignment qualities based on the concept of Spiral Dynamics®, meditation and breathing exercises. Both beginners and experienced yogis are welcome :-)! Strengthening, mobilising and activating exercise units from the areas of aerobics and strength training complement the movement units in line with the needs of the participants.

On the first and last evenings, we will enjoy dinner together as a group in Dytikos or Lentas. This will leave you plenty of time and space to spend time on your own… to enjoy time away from your everyday life by the sea 😀.

Training with Andrea is a blessing for my body and soul! I appreciate Andrea’s incredible physical expertise paired with her cheerful, humorous and highly attentive guidance, which includes mindfulness and serious topics. Osteoarthritis is a nasty condition, especially when you have been very active throughout your life and would like to continue to be so. Osteoarthritis regularly puts me in a bad mood. That’s why Andrea’s ability to motivate me and patiently continue training despite the pain is really valuable to me. Especially since exercise is the only way to get rid of the pain. So I decided to take part in one of Andrea’s retreats in Crete. What a great thing! Andrea has found a dream location with Dytikos near Lentas, where you feel at home in no time. A beautiful and surprisingly affordable hotel on the south coast of Crete with a yoga room that offers a partial view of the sea! Wow! With two two-hour training sessions a day, Andrea offers us the opportunity to really delve deep into the physical connections, to explore the exercises with calm and even more intensity. This is where Andrea’s expertise really shines. On the skeleton and anatomy atlas she explains the connections between the large and small muscles, the fasciae and the bones. And then we practise again! Along the needs we had formulated. And at the end, she summarises everything for us and even sends us recordings of the exercises. In the afternoons, you can really unwind on the beautiful beach, and there are various restaurants to suit all budgets offering culinary delights. The retreat has greatly reduced my pain: I now have many pain-free nights and new motivation to train. The retreat in Crete is a great pleasure and a private rehabilitation at the same time. Caution: it can be addictive!”
